Top Ten Travel Nursing "Hot Spots"

The great thing about being a travel nurse is reduced to one key element - that's racing! For those of us who like to travel and see the world, travel nursing is the profession of our dreams. There are many travel destinations available, based on weather, activities, cost of living, and salary. Therefore, I have compiled a list of my destinations "Top Ten" that nurses choose, based on the number of passengers who question each location every month. Are you a travel RN scouting a new assignment? Then I suggest you ten "hot spots" include:

HAWAII - It is not surprising that Hawaii generates over 500 travel nursing visits per month. The wide range of outdoor activities from snow-capped mountains to snow Hawaii's beaches raises one of those high places where you can build a snowman or a sand castle in a day. The nurses tell me that you will discover virtually any activity in the open air imaginable - trails that wind through erupting volcanoes, secret beaches and verdant farms. Many travelers also hunt, mountain biking, rafting and golf at one of the most extravagant courses in the world.

ALASKA - Travel nurses are intrigued by the possibilities of wild mystery of Alaska. Alaska is a great desert with beautiful scenery, and travel nursing jobs offer a lot of time to see and do whatever you want, be it in the dark of winter under the northern lights, or glorious spring and summer when the light is most of the time. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Alaska for its' wildlife, natural landscapes and spectacular fishing expeditions where the fish really are as big as the stories that are told. Cruise countless days and tourist expeditions abound, as do the possibilities hiking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing ... Need I say more?

MONTANA - Whether photographer, adventurer, or both, Montana is truly a state that invite with open arms. Travel River, fishing and camping, history, snowy mountains, and waterfalls are what you will find with a lot of open space to explore. Missions in Montana appeal to nurses who just need a little time to break your routine city to enjoy walking to the beat of a different drummer full travel. The Big Sky Country boasts some of the most famous American mountains, canyons, river valleys, forests, grassy plains, badlands, and caverns, and many travelers find compelling enough to return.

MAINE - Maine splendor has inspired artists like Georgia O'Keefe and three generations of the Wyeth family, since the mid-nineteenth century. Travel nurses can not resist at least one adventure in this charming getaway. Whether you embark on outdoor adventures like skiing and snowmobiling, or if you prefer the cozy atmosphere of antiques through charming villages or just strolling or the miles of sandy beaches in the smell of of salt air, Maine is legendary and offers some wonderful travel nursing experiences. Its' unique culture is the picturesque outdoor air, and of course the opportunity to enjoy lobster as the locals - fresh from the ocean!

CALIFORNIA - Warm weather and the famous California beaches are a favorite choice for traveling nurses. Nine hundred miles of coastline gives nurses in all locations the chance to spend several hours near the waves; and for nature lovers, California is home to many animal parks, and wilderness refuges for endangered animals. If you are addicted to the excitement, you can explore a wide selection of theme parks; and no matter what your taste in music, concerts abound in every kind of place. Historic sites and museums invite, such as restaurants and clubs in which to see and be seen five stars. The shopping is unparalleled, whether Melrose Place, La Jolla, chain or Venice Beach; and of course it is home to Hollywood, and, yes, movie stars. What places in the north, south or coastal, traveling nurses return to California time and again.

WASHINGTON - The Evergreen State has the beautiful Pacific Ocean, the Cascade Mountains, the desert experiences, rain forests, volcanoes, glaciers and lush wine country. The high rates of Washington State in the list of many nursing travelers. Are necessary to see the Space Needle and Luke. The culture here is very diverse; sophisticated, outdoor activities, and loaded with resorts, history, parks, museums and botanical gardens. With four spectacular seasons, Colorado is where travel nurses get to explore 18 million acres of state and national parks, state forests and monuments for biking, hiking, fishing, climbing, kayaking, to name a few. Colorado has many cultural treasures, including ancient Native American sites and dinosaur fossil exhibits, historic ghost towns, and even award-winning vineyards in Grand Junction. And for those who enjoy city life, amid all this natural beauty are wonderful metropolitan areas like Denver and Boulder, full of shopping, performing arts and professional sports.

TENNESSEE - From energetic nights of blues on Beale Street in acres of beautiful rolling Tennessee Walker horses, peaceful sunsets Smoky Mountains, Tennessee is a journey that offers many world famous attractions. Nurse visiting Tennessee find that are less than a day 75 percent of the US population through quick and highways quality tracks. Attractions in Tennessee include the Jack Daniels distillery Elvis' Graceland, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and lots of southern hospitality. And do not forget the crown jewel of the southern Appalachians, the National Park Great Smoky Mountains.

ARIZONA - If you like the outdoors, the Grand Canyon State might be for you. The nurses who go there just rave about the Arizona landscape which takes in tall mountain ranges, swift rivers, grasslands, sand dunes and cactus forests loans against a beautiful sky that glows pink in the sunset sun. Nurse travelers who love history will find much here, including the reforms of the Far West Indian nations and the Spanish influence zones in a single state. Arizona is also home to the greatest golf courses, resorts, spas, lodges and ranches of the nation.
